The Apollo Hotel Amsterdam is located at the heart of Amsterdam South with the Rai Convention Centre and World Trade Centre just a stroll away. Furthermore, the hotel is located near the Museum quarter and has an idyllic view over the canals. Whether our guest stay with us for business or leisure, we make sure they always return to us.
A typical day of Duty Manager
Within half an hour the special VIP arrives at the hotel. Together with your colleagues you have created a unique VIP item for the guest. You checked the room to see whether it is spotless and then ensure your team is ready to deliver top quality service for this guest.
You will work closely together with the Assistant Front Office Manager & Rooms Division Manager. When dealing with complaints we can always count on your professional work ethics.
You are the contact person between all operational departments within in the hotel, meaning Front Office, F&B, Housekeeping and the Technical Department. But even more important, you are the contact person for all our guests. You provide them with all necessary information and surprise them with your endless positivity.
Perhaps you will notice that some procedures can be improved to better exceed our guest expectations? With your proactive work attitude, you ensure the teams will learn this new procedure and you’re a role model during your shifts.
During an emergency you remain calm and you can coordinate the situation in a professional manner while always ensuring our guests’ safety.
Every shift brings new challenges, but one thing will never change: you deliver the best quality while exceeding guest expectations.

- You have finished a degree in Hospitality and have relevant work experience within the Front Office;
- You have knowledge of Opera? That is a great plus!
