Amsterdam, 5 August 2020 – The former Apollo Museumhotel Amsterdam along the P.C. Hooftstraat has welcomed its first guests under the name Leonardo Boutique Museumhotel Amsterdam City Center. Over the past nine months, the hotel has been thoroughly renovated. For example, all 188 rooms have been modernised and the historic façade has been given a fresh look and feel. To complete the transformation, the iconic hotel in the Museum District has also opened a surprising new concept: Coffee Boutique - Roasters & Toasters.

In the heart of Amsterdam, where the luxurious P.C. Hooftstraat opens onto the bustling Stadhouderskade, the new Leonardo Boutique Museumhotel is located between the exclusive shops. The Boutique lifestyle brand combines distinctive design with a living room feeling and personal service. To achieve this, all 188 rooms and the lobby, bar and courtyard garden of the former Apollo Museumhotel Amsterdam have undergone a thorough makeover. For the renovation, interior designer Andreas Neudahm has been inspired by the opulent history of the adjoining Rijksmuseum. Various famous scenes from the Rijksmuseum decorate the rooms and corridors.

Coffee Boutique - Roasters & Toasters

With a new name and a completely renewed hotel, an appropriate new concept is an absolute must. Coffee Boutique is more than just another coffee bar in the heart of Amsterdam's fashion street. While the coffee roasters fill the room with the smell of fresh beans, healthy and tasty dishes are served throughout the day. Using only the best and mostly local ingredients, the baristas make the tastiest toasts and coffees. Several places have been created in the bar where you can also work undisturbed. In addition to coffee and toasts, the menu also offers a wide selection of wines, cocktails and snacks to share. Anna Pruijn, General Manager: "We are extremely proud that we have been able to create a fantastic new hotel at this unique location. We are the perfect starting point for every visit to Amsterdam, both business and leisure. We have added Coffee Boutique - Roasters & Toasters; a splendid, very diverse concept that is open from early in the morning until late at night. This makes Coffee Boutique not only a plus point for our hotel guests, but also for the local visitors.”
