The Hague Herring Party at Crowne Plaza Den Haag - Promenade was a great culinary success. Mayor Pauline Krikke, Hague singer-songwriter Tim Akkerman and the more than 350 entrepreneurs, expats, ambassadors and internationals enjoyed the rich variety of herring. Besides the preparation of herring in a traditional way, herring sushi, tartar of herring and asparagus salad with herring were on the menu. Mayor Pauline Krikke received the honorable herring bar because of her efforts positioning The Hague on the international map. Crowne Plaza The Hague - Promenade emphasizes with The Hague Herring Party its international character at top level and its commitment to The Hague as an international city by the sea. The preparation of herring in an international manner is in line with Brasserie Brut International Flavors and the Promenade Food Festivals, both part of Crowne Plaza Den Haag - Promenade.
Patrick Aarsman, General Manager of Crowne Plaza The Hague - Promenade, is proud of the success of The Hague Herring Party: "Together with the city we share the ambition to position The Hague as the top destination for international conferences and events. The Hague Herring Party proves once again to be a wonderful addition. Our kitchen brigade is full of inspiration thanks to the knowledge that is gained during the many visits of international chefs. Our concept is clear: we bring the international cuisine to the most international city in the Netherlands."
The herring bar of The Hague Haring Party was presented to mayor Pauline Krikke: "I feel honored to receive the herring barrel. It is fantastic to see that our Dutch herring is so tasteful in combination with other ingredients. During The Hague Herring Party you will notice the sincere connection between entrepreneurs from The Hague, ambassadors and expats. Eating the ‘Hollandse Nieuwe’ is a tradition that The Hague can be proud of especially when shared with international guests, that is fantastic,” said Mayor Pauline Krikke.
