Vinkeveen, 17 November 2021 – On November 16th, Apollo Hotel Vinkeveen – Amsterdam changed its name to Leonardo Hotel Vinkeveen Amsterdam and continues under the flag of Leonardo Hotels. Alderman Rein Kroon opened the renewed hotel together with General Manager Arjan de Ridder by symbolically cutting a ribbon. This rebranding is a part of the extensive repositioning of all Apollo Hotels in the Netherlands.

In 2021 and 2022, the Apollo Hotels will be rebranded as Leonardo Hotels, which are operated by the Fattal Hotel Group. This is one of the fastest growing hospitality companies in Europe. The process was temporarily halted last year due to the international impact of Covid-19 but is now continuing. This will allow the hotels to benefit from the strength of the Leonardo brand.

With Leonardo Hotels, Fattal Hotel Group brings international allure and a matching image to the Netherlands. For each hotel an appropriate rebranding, interior design and unique concept is sought.

Leonardo Hotel Vinkeveen Amsterdam

Leonardo Hotel Vinkeveen Amsterdam is located along the Lakes of Vinkeveen with a private marina and beach. The impressive ship hanging against the wall in the lobby is a real eyecatcher. Characteristic for the interior of the hotel are the wooden slats; from the front office desk to the hotel rooms, made of 600 fruit boxes in total. Right around the corner of the Front Office you walk directly through the wine cellar into The Harbour Club, where the open kitchen with the six meter long Raw Bar forms the heart of the restaurant. “More than four and a half years ago, we opened this restaurant in the brand-new Apollo Hotel Vinkeveen-Amsterdam” As said by General Manager Arjan de Ridder. “Now we get to add this beautiful location to the portfolio of one of the fastest growing international hotel chains.”

Arjan is happy that after all preparations of the last few weeks, the red letters of Leonardo Hotels colour the adjacent A2 highway. “Next to the fact that our location can benefit from the great brand awareness of Leonardo hotels in for example Germany and the UK, this name changes also makes the brand stronger on the national market.” Arjan sees an opportunity to place Vinkeveen international as national better on the map.

In 2018, the management of Apollo Hotels decided to sell the chain. Fattal Hotel Group was looking for growth opportunities in the Dutch market and took over the well-known hotel chain. Fattal Hotel Group has decided to expand their now well-known brand in Europe, Leonardo Hotels. The rebranding of the hotels is in full swing. The other Apollo Hotels (except Apollo Hotel Amsterdam) are expected to be rebranded early next year.
