Today sees the opening of the latest The Harbour Club restaurant in Vinkeveen. The restaurant is located on the shore of the popular Vinkeveense Plassen (Lakes of Vinkeveen) in the brand new Apollo Hotel Vinkeveen-Amsterdam. The Harbour Club Vinkeveen has space for 150 guests in the restaurant, 150 guest on the luxury outdoor terrace and can be reached by land and water. There are mooring facilities for pleasure boats.

The new restaurant has the recognisable international allure of The Harbour Club, but also incorporates additions to the original concept. At the heart of the restaurant is the open kitchen, with a 6-metre long Raw Bar. The familiar wine cabinets also decorate the interior.

The opening of The Habour Club Vinkeveen coincides with the presentation of the new menu, including dishes such as sea bass ceviche, Alaskan King Crab, Tomahawk steak and various types of sushi. The signature dishes of The Harbour Club form the basis of the menu. Only the choicest meat, the freshest fish, the most succulent vegetables and the best herbs are used. Food is prepared with an emphasis on pure and simple: meat on the open Josper Grill, Dover sole fried in butter and grilled lobster. True meat lovers can enjoy an imposing Tomahawk steak or Peking Duck with pancakes and hoisin sauce. The kitchen of The Habour Club Vinkeveen is led by Chef de Cuisine Ingmar Ipema, who was formerly head chef at The Harbour Club Amsterdam Zuid.

The first thing you notice on entering Apollo Hotel Vinkeveen-Amsterdam is the impressive ship suspended from the ceiling. A characteristic feature of the hotel’s interior are the wooden battens, which are used from the front office desk to the hotel rooms, made from 600 fruit crates. The Harbour Club is entered to the right of the reception and displays a 15m2 work of art by the legendary Herman Brood. The wine cabinet has a spectacular mural by Pablo Lucker. The interior design of The Harbour Club and Apollo Hotel Vinkeveen-Amsterdam is the work of Will Erens of Too Many Agencies, well-known for their design of SNCKBR and Panache, among others.

This summer, Apollo Hotel Vinkeveen-Amsterdam is opening an event centre adjacent to the hotel, offering the same glorious views over the Vinkeveense Plassen. It will include a multi-functional space of 1200m2, with different board rooms that can be adapted to suit guests’ needs. Events for 10 to 1000 guests can be held in the space.
