Amsterdam, 8th December 2014 – On the roof of Ramada Apollo Amsterdam the highest ice rink in the Netherlands was successfully opened on Saturday the 6th of December. The more than 200 people that were present were welcomed within a wintery setting in style to the beats of DJ Mrs. Brown, mulled wine and hot chocolate. At an altitude of 85 metres, the first visitors glided enthusiastically across the highest ice rink in the Netherlands, to the theme ‘disco skating’.

Boudewijn Martens, Hotel Manager of Ramada Apollo Amsterdam Centre: “The ice rink is 75 m2 and with the fantastic view across Amsterdam, it is difficult to concentrate on the skating. We tested the ice rink with our own team and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The winter attraction brought out the children in us! For the next two months, the ice rink can be booked exclusively by groups, but hotel guests can, of course, also enjoy it. ’’
