Almere, 10 April 2017 – Bierfabriek Almere officially opened its doors on Friday 7 April. In a packed venue, the specially invited guests were introduced to the latest food and beverage concept in Almere. Mayor Franc Weerwind poured the first draught beer, after which comedian Arie Koomen talked about his love for beer. Bierfabriek Almere is located next to Apollo Hotel Almere City Centre, on the banks of the Weerwater lake.

Bierfabriek Almere is the first franchised location of the food & beverage concept and is a partnership between Apollo Hotels and Bierfabriek. Says Wouter Dekker, franchisee and General Manager at Apollo Hotel Almere City Centre: “Bierfabriek and Apollo Hotels are an ideal match. Apollo Hotels has worked hard in recent years to redefine our positioning, continuously breaking rules to enhance our guests’ enjoyment. The informal atmosphere of Bierfabriek perfectly complements this. Our former space has been transformed into a typical Bierfabriek location: rugged and industrial, but oozing ambience too! We may only have just opened, but the place already has a warm, familiar feeling.”

City mayor pours first home-brewed draught beer

Bierfabriek Almere was officially opened by Almere city mayor Franc Weerwind. After a symbolic ribbon cutting ceremony, the Almere location was opened in typical Bierfabriek fashion with the first draught of home-brewed beer: the pride of the food & beverage concept. “Bierfabriek Almere brings added value to the range of dining and entertainment venues in the city centre,” comments Mayor Weerwind.

An informal atmosphere and enjoyment were at the heart of the festivities to mark the opening of Bierfabriek Almere. Mayor Franc Weerwind poured the first draught beer, after which comedian Arie Koomen performed a sketch about his love for beer and Almere. A good combination, in his own words.

About Bierfabriek

Bierfabriek is a unique combination of brewery, restaurant and cafe in the heart of Almere, Amsterdam and Delft. The concept offers an informal atmosphere in which you can drink home-brewed craft beers, eat free-range chicken grilled on a charcoal BBQ and pour your own draught beer. On Friday and Saturday evenings Bierfabriek transforms into Nachtfabriek, with funky music courtesy of top DJs. Bierfabriek works mostly with organic and socially responsible products and serves a good meal for a fair price.
