Vinkeveen (NL), 4 July 2017 – Two months after the opening of Apollo Hotel Vinkeveen-Amsterdam, the newest hotel of Apollo Hotels is announcing an expansion. The Meeting & Event Centre, with 1,200 m2 directly by the Vinkeveen lakes, will open in September 2017. The finishing and decorating work is currently being conducted under the direction of Herman van der Poel.

Herman was there at the start of the two youngest hotels in the Apollo chain. ‘I dare to say that our Meeting & Event Centre will be the most impressive and flexible space in the Randstad extended urban area and, in addition, it is situated at a beautiful and central location in the Netherlands. It will be a large multifunctional space with sliding industrial panels, so it will be suitable for any type of event, meeting or training. There is parking for cars and, using 10-metre high trusses for light and sound, we can literally shine a spotlight on each product’, according to Herman van der Poel.

MEETING & EVENT CENTRE AT THE VINKEVEEN LAKES

The Meeting & Event Centre at the Vinkeveen lakes is located immediately next to Apollo Hotel Vinkeveen-Amsterdam. The building has its own entrance with a reception area and a car park for 170 cars. The ground floor is an impressive area of approximately 400 m2 with a 10-metre high atrium. The high windows allow daylight to stream in and the view of the Vinkeveen lakes is shown to the maximum. The Event Centre will have a terrace of 300 m2 and will lie directly by the water with 29 berths for boats. Ten sub-rooms of 25 to 50 m2 each will be located on the first level up.

CATERING BY THE HARBOUR CLUB

The opening of Apollo Hotel Vinkeveen-Amsterdam coincided with the newest location of The Harbour Club. At the Event Centre as well, the contemporary food concept will play a role in the total experience. Area Manager Alexander Kluit of Apollo Hotels explains: ‘There are many companies who want to organise an event in the characteristic atmosphere of The Harbour Club. Although the construction is still fully under way, the first collaboration for a series of super events has already been planned. With the Meeting & Event Centre, we open a space in this entourage with the most modern presentation techniques and, above all, catering courtesy of The Harbour Club.’
