IJmuiden, 25 March 2021 - Less than a year after the opening of the first Leonardo Boutique Hotel and the second Leonardo Royal Hotel in the Netherlands, the Fattal Hotel Group announces another important milestone. The Apollo Hotel IJmuiden Seaport Beach will continue under the European brand of the Fattal Hotel Group and change its name to Leonardo Hotel IJmuiden Seaport Beach. With this rebranding, the Fattal Hotel Group continues to build the brand awareness of Leonardo Hotels in the Benelux. The portfolio now consists of six Leonardo Hotels in the Netherlands

 

Not long after the new Chef's! Food & Drinks was presented last September, another innovative revelation has been made. As of yesterday, the red letters of Leonardo Hotels color the marina of IJmuiden, and the former Apollo Hotel officially continues under a new name. General Manager Ivo Kranendonk: "Despite the current crisis, we are pleased and honored to keep innovating. With this strong European brand on the facade, we not only expect to become an attractive holiday destination for Dutch guests this Summer, but also for our German neighbors. A great first step towards, together with other local entrepreneurs, putting IJmuiden on the international map!".

 

Hotels in the Benelux

The name change of Leonardo Hotel IJmuiden is one of the many ongoing projects of the Fattal Hotel Group in the Benelux. Alexander Kluit, Managing Director of Apollo & Leonardo Hotels in the Netherlands & Belgium: "It is special to add several hotels to our portfolio during this time. For example, last year the hotel in The Hague changed its name to Leonardo Royal Hotel Den Haag Promenade and Leonardo Hotel Antwerp reopened its doors in early July after a total transformation." With the name change of Leonardo Hotel IJmuiden Seaport Beach, the Fattal Hotel Group continues to increase the brand awareness of Leonardo Hotels in the Netherlands. As of April 2021, the portfolio consists of 6 Leonardo Hotels with a combined total of more than 1,650 rooms.
